Our products

The main activity of Shrimp and Seafood B.V. is the processing of Dutch North Sea shrimp for third parties. Thanks to the knowledge, experience and techniques we have developed over the years, there are few, if any, products in this industry that we are unable to process.

The fish and shrimp species we can process include:

  • Dutch grey shrimps (Crangon Crangon)
  • Norwegian shrimps (Pandalus Borealis, Pandalus Jordani)
  • Vannamei shrimps (Litopenaeus Vannamei)
  • Seabob shrimps (Penaidae)
  • Riverlobsters (Procambarus Clarkii)
  • Squid (Loligo Vulgaris, Illex Argentinus, Todarodes Pacificus)

Langoustines

  • Catch area: Eastern Atlantic Ocean (FAO-27).
  • Fishing method: Pots and traps, twin-rig and fly-shoot nets.
  • Catch season: June until October.

Shrimp shells

Crangon Crangon

After processing Dutch shrimp (Crangon crangon), we are left with a by-product: the shells. These can be processed for the market in two ways: either frozen directly or further processed into powder.

Tropical shrimps

Penaeidae
  • Catch area: Indian Ocean.
  • Fishing method: By vessel with nets (Trawling).
  • Catch season: All year round.

Dutch grey shrimps

Crangon Crangon
  • Catch area: Dutch -, Belgian -, German - and Danish waters.
  • Fishing method: By ship with nets (Boomkor / Bottom trawling) and are then cooked directly on board.
  • Catch season: All year round with a peak in September-October.

Norwegian shrimps

Pandalus Borealis / Pandalus Jordani
  • Catch area: Northwest Atlantic.
  • Fishing method: By ship with nets (Otter Trawl).
  • Catch season: April-October (in Canada).

Vannamei shrimps

Litopenaeus Vannamei
  • Catch area: Indonesia, Vietnam, Ecuador, Colombia, Thailand.
  • Fishing method: By ship with nets.
  • Catch season: 2/3 times a year.

Seabob shrimps

Xiphopenaeus Kroyeri
  • Catch area: Central western Atlantic.
  • Fishing method: By vessel with nets (double rigged Otter Trawl).
  • Catch season: All year round.

River lobsters

Procambarus Clarkii
  • Catch area: China and USA.
  • Fishing method: nets and traps.
  • Catch season: April.

Squid

Loligo Vulgaris, Illex Argentinus, Todarodes Pacificus
  • Catch area: Pacific Ocean.
  • Fishing method: Pulse fishing and Trawling.
  • Catch season: All year round.
